What is an Ideal Customer Profile (ICP)? 💡

It is a description of a perfect company or customer that your business should focus on. It is a fictional representation of a company that would be most likely to benefit most from purchasing your products. These are the ones most likely to buy from you, stick with your product, and even recommend it to others, making them essential for driving revenue and growth.

An Ideal Customer Profile is not just created on a whim, or generated out of thin air - a mix quantitative and qualitative data is collected, gathered from existing metrics and customer interviews. A strong ICP is always grounded in solid data.

Typically, a well defined ICP boosts focus and fosters alignment in business strategies. I've consulted various companies on finding their ICP and here is what usually happens after you do:
